Welcome to BK’s Magnolia Motor Lodge Accommodation – Whanganui.

BK’s Magnolia Motor Lodge was refurbished May 2020 and now enjoys new local Whanganui owners.

Whether you are staying to enjoy a holiday break in Whanganui and all it offers, making an important business trip or visit friends and relatives (or maybe to be near a loved one in Whanganui hospital) – we will do all we can to ensure that you enjoy your stay – and stay with us again.

BKs Magnolia Motor Lodge has been built with your comfort in mind, including air conditioning and with the special touches for your comfort such as La-Z-Boy recliners and spa baths, while high-speed broadband helps you keep in touch with loved ones or business clients during your stay.

Reception is open from 8.00am to 8.30pm Mon-Fri, and 08.30am to 8pm, Sat, Sun and Public Holidays.

Early check in and late check out may be available on request. Please ask at Reception.

It takes just 5 minutes to walk to Whanganui city centre.

We are a 2 minute walk to Hell Pizza, KFC, Fish & Chips, Chinese Takeaway, Burger King and Liquorland – all accessed through the Caltex walkway right next to BKs Magnolia Motor Lodge.

This really is a lovely motel. It is situated on a quiet street but very close to the town centre. Everything in the CBD is walkable. The rooms are modern, spacious and very clean, the new carpet is lovely. I must also mention that the last minute addition to our parties number was accommodated with a larger room/ and bed to fit this extra party member when we would have been happy with making do, all the more kind as the motel was fully booked on the night in question. It was kind of the owners to make this possible thank you. I highly recommend this motel should you need a nice and comfortable place to rest up in Whanganui

Was able to book at short notice for my uncle and aunty who were from out of town. The room was exactly as described and as the pictures showed. The room was much larger than the pictures showed as well.

A real gem…

Just a few minutes walk away from the CBD, this is a real gem. A pleasure to stay in. Clean, roomy and reasonably priced with plenty of room for parking. Owners are very helpful with tips for visiting.

Comfortble Motel

Stayed at this Motel while down at the big smoke for work. The room was well appointed and warm. It was spotlessly clean which was very much appreciated.

The Motel is one block back from the main drag but in close walking distance to main Supermarkets and other shops.

What a gem…

Last minute booking and had never stayed here before. Very pleasantly surprised, from the moment I made the booking over the phone, till we left. The unit was lovely, with 2 reclining chairs in lounge and Netflicks on tv. Heat pump and large ceiling fan also. Carpet was lovely and thick and very clean.

Seperate bedroom, Bed super comfy and lots of pillows, large bathroom with great fan in, so the mirror never fogged up! And there was a large tea pot!! Super service and lovely hosts, will be our place to stay next time in Whanganui. Thank you for a lovely stay.
